Blank Silver Bullets with Garlic. S1 E3 “Baroness of Hell and Blood”
Unexpectedly, after insane ep 2, episode 3 of Blank Silver Bullets with Garlic explores the terrifying past of Queen Lysandra, the vicious vampire queen, and the dark deeds which caused her blood-curdling ascendancy
Just an ordinary office rat
Before her ascent to vampiric royalty, Lysandra Norrington led a seemingly mundane existence in the human world. The episode starts with Lysandra’s interview and the scenes of her securing the job as a research scientist at Sigmatic Titanium, a renowned medical device company that is known for its innovative technology. Her routine life of bachelorhood was monotonous and scientific in pursuit.
The usual tired evenings after work, red wine, a bath, masturbation with a TV show on in the background, and a sound sleep in a warm bed. Alarm clock, breakfast, work, lunch, home, wine, masturbation, TV series, sleep, alarm clock… and again, and again… and again.
During her tenure at Sigmatic Titanium, Lysandra met the charismatic and enigmatic CEO, the English Lord Branson. Intrigued by his wealth, charm, and power, Lysandra found herself irresistibly drawn to him. Their professional relationship soon blossomed into an illicit love affair. It didn’t even bother her that he always came to the office in the evening or at night. One such day, he found her lounging at her PC. He says:
You smell so damn good, it’s driving me crazy
The smell of death and iron
One fateful night, as their passion reached its zenith, Lord Branson offered her a walk for the first time. Together, Lysandra’s happiness was unbounded. They wandered through the night, the neon streets of the city, the street after the rain; it was so romantic. At some point, completely unrelated to what they were discussing, he said:
Have I told you how much your scent drives me crazy?
He grabbed her by the throat and kissed her passionately, dragging her down a back alley. The smell wasn’t pleasant in these parts, but Lysandra thought about her dreams coming true. He slipped his hand into her panties, which made her even more dazed, but then began the process she usually masturbated to. Heaven? By Lysandra’s standards, hell yeah.
In a moment, he sank his teeth into her neck and continued, but the pain hurt like hell, like against scalpels; she didn’t approve of that decision and pulled away. But the Lord had other plans for this evening.
A punch to the face, an undercut, another punch to the face on the ground, a hand covering her mouth, and Lord Branson continuing to gnaw on her neck and rape her, darkness.
The ambulance arrived 15 minutes later, and the body was found by school kids who had gone down the alley to smoke marijuana.
Vampiric Instinct
Lysandra awoke in a hospital bed, her senses heightened and a terrible thirst gnawing at her. She mistook the insatiable bloodlust for a desire to drink and eat, not realizing the monstrous transformation she had undergone. In her delirium, she searched desperately for her costume and staff, the new symbols of her vampiric heritage and old life.
As she located her belongings, her vampire abilities surged to life, and she unleashed a cold-blooded massacre in the hospital, leaving a trail of lifeless bodies in her wake. In that nightmarish moment, her mental and psychological health teetered on the brink of madness. According to the police, about 200 people will not see their families again, but will find a new one in the ranks of the vampiress army.
After experiencing a surge of strength and a burning need for retribution, Lysandra became consumed with the task of tracking down Lord Branson. However, she remained oblivious to the fact that his true persona and intentions were much more intricate than she had originally surmised.
Twist
Over time, Lysandra skillfully gained control of various businesses with the help of vampires whom she had transformed from mere humans. Her army of loyal followers continued to expand in numbers until she finally reached the pinnacle of her success — the main headquarters of Sigmatic Titanium.
Upon arriving at the office one evening, Branson was taken aback to find Lysandra sitting in his chair. As the surprise wore off, it became clear to Lysandra that Lord Branson was, in fact, Kagan, a vampire hunter. What? Vampire, Vampire Hunter? This revelation left Lysandra feeling confused, and she began to question Kagan’s motives. Kagan explained that he had orchestrated the entire situation in order to create a worthy adversary to challenge the vampire hierarchy. The revelation left Lysandra in a state of shock, but Kagan remained calm and collected, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Lysandra and Kagan, two powerful beings from different worlds, engaged in a brutal and intense battle that would ultimately determine the fate of their respective worlds. As the battle raged on, Kagan slowly began to realize that Lysandra had transformed into a fierce and monstrous opponent. The sheer force of her power and determination was something that had caught Kagan off guard, leaving him to ponder the consequences of his actions and the true nature of Lysandra’s strength.
In the midst of the chaos, Kagan succumbed to Lysandra’s relentless onslaught, passing out from exhaustion. Realizing the depth of her power, Lysandra allowed him to escape, a testament to her newfound cruelty and thirst for dominance.
Blood Empire
Following Lord Branson/Kagan's departure, Lysandra assumed Sigmatic Titanium's leadership and embarked on a formidable campaign against her adversaries. Her efforts yielded a thriving vampire empire where blood was plentiful, and the undead prospered. Lysandra’s reign was characterized by a relentless pursuit of her own vision for the supernatural realm, marked by an unyielding commitment to transforming it in her image. Indeed, her unwavering determination and uncompromising approach made her a force to be reckoned with in the supernatural world.
In the episode’s final moments, we witness Lysandra descending into her empire's dark, blood-soaked basement, where her subjects, all turned vampires, await her command. The walls are adorned with dried blood, and she walks among the halls, flasks in hand, containing the essence of her cloned human victims, her twisted vision of a vampiric utopia.
As “Blank Silver Bullets with Garlic” delves deeper into the intricate web of Lysandra’s malevolence, it leaves viewers haunted by the revelation of her origins and the terrifying legacy she seeks to build.
